Located in Punta Piedras, very close to the sea and midway between La Barra and José Ignacio, this property was designed in 2011 by architect Diego Montero.
In 2017, it was featured by Arquitectura & Diseño magazine in its selection of ten architect-designed second homes. It occupies a 502 m² plot and, following its extension, currently has 390 m² of built area.
Its steel structure, clad in Corten steel, defines the exterior character, while the interiors incorporate recycled pinotea wood more than one hundred years old. The interior design project was undertaken by Laura Sanjurjo and Aarón Hojman, with a carefully curated selection of furniture, materials, and pieces from different periods.
In 2022, Diego Montero further renovated the property, adding two new en-suite bedrooms while preserving the original architectural language. The current layout offers four suites on the upper floor and a fifth suite on the ground floor.
The social area comprises a living room, dining room, and open-plan kitchen, as well as a guest powder room and a terrace extending the living spaces outdoors. The house also includes staff quarters and a garage with space for two vehicles.
The outdoor area, designed by landscape architect Gonzalo Ricci, features a swimming pool measuring 16 metres long by 3 metres wide. In the courtyard, a mural by Ricardo Yates adds an artistic dimension to the ensemble.
Architecture, interior design, art, and landscape coexist in a property with a strong identity, where each intervention maintains a coherent relationship with the original design.
