Private Nature Reserve and Lodge

We are proud to present you the unique opportunity to acquire the largest and best-preserved privately owned natural fynbos mountain reserve in South Africa. This one-of-a-kind gem is located near Worcester, a mere two-hour drive from Cape Town. The 2258Ha mountain reserve is world renowned for its pristine protea and fynbos fauna and flora. Around 8000 fynbos species have been identified with even more still to be documented. The reserve has a rich animal life and boasts the largest population of Cape Leopard in South Africa. For bird watchers this is a paradise with more than 130 bird species recorded. The mountain resort offers accommodation in 18 well equipped rooms as well as a conference room, bar and restaurant with amazing views over the dam and valley below. Over the last 30 years the owners have established a large base of corporate clients who visit the resort every year. The diverse terrain and breathtaking views are very popular with film makers as well as corporate companies filming new release products and off-road vehicles, especially with the 70km 4X4 route on the reserve. Crystal clear drinking water is sourced from a natural fountain, and this gave rise to the establishment of a micro beer brewery. The facility comes fully equipped and can be converted to manufacturing kombucha, vodka, whiskey, etc. or the structure can be modified into a function venue. Electricity is provided by Eskom with supplementary solar power generated on the reserve. The seller is VAT registered and the property is offered as a going concern, including all the movable assets currently on the property. There are no land claims against the property and no employees residing on the property. More information will be provided to qualified buyers after signing a non-disclosure agreement.
