One of the Last Stands On Westford Bridge Estate

UNDER OFFER Life at Westford Bridge Estate is defined by space, tranquillity, and a deep connection to nature and still not far from the hustle and bustle of Knysna's CBD. This remarkable 4,040m² north-facing stand offers the rare opportunity to create a home that feels completely integrated with its surroundings, where sunlight fills your living spaces and the outdoors becomes an extension of everyday life. The generous size of the stand allows for a lifestyle centred around nature and wellbeing. Imagine mornings spent walking through your garden while birds call from the surrounding trees, afternoons tending to vegetable beds or relaxing on a terrace overlooking the wetlands, and evenings watching the light soften over the hills as wildlife moves quietly through the reserve. Positioned at the end of a peaceful street at the northern entrance of the estate, the stand enjoys an exceptional sense of privacy. The quiet, tree-lined approach along Phantom Pass already sets the tone for the calm lifestyle residents enjoy here. Westford Bridge Estate itself is a protected 137-hectare nature reserve where the landscape is carefully preserved. Wetlands along the Knysna River create a thriving habitat for wildlife, and residents regularly encounter bushbuck, blue duiker, porcupine and genet, with the occasional sighting of the elusive caracal. Bird enthusiasts will appreciate the remarkable diversity, with more than 160 species recorded within the estate. Outdoor living is part of everyday life. Scenic walking and hiking trails wind through indigenous forest and open valleys, offering panoramic viewpoints across the estate and surrounding hills. The private jetty and slipway provide direct access to the Knysna River for launching small boats or enjoying a quiet afternoon fishing for grunter and leervis. Despite its peaceful natural setting, the estate is conveniently located only a short drive from Knysna’s town centre, shops, restaurants, and schools. Residents therefore enjoy the rare balance of secure estate living, unspoiled natural surroundings, and easy access to town.
