Mijas, situated at an altitude of 428 metres above sea level, is a white and cheerful village with a wonderful setting of hillsides and rivers with panoramic views over the Mediterranean and an average temperature of 18º C. Mijas Pueblo is the heart of a huge municipality which borders a number of villages on the Costa del Sol and inland. The dominated part of Campo de Mijas is a residential area which lies between Mijas Pueblo and the neighbouring municipality of Fuengirola and is made up of the urbanisations of La Sierrezuela, El Coto, Olimar and Montebello.
