AIRPORT:
The Port Elizabeth airport is a single terminal airport which caters for domestic travel only. International travelers will need to make use of Durban, Cape Town or Johannesburg International airports. The designation for PE airport is PLZ, it has cross runways to cater for the prevailing winds. The approaches into the airport from the north or west can be spectacular and passengers are treated to incredible views of long white sandy beaches, with rugged indigenous bush surrounding. From the north passengers often get the scenic arrival, over the newly build Coega deep water port, the existing PE Harbor and its magnificent bathing beaches coast line.

PORT OF PORT ELIZABETH:
Port Elizabeth is the only city in South Africa which currently has two port's or working harbour's. The old PE Harbour and the Port of Ngqura.

WEATHER:
It may come as no surprise wind guru is a favorite amongst Port Elizabethans for their weather and wind updates. Port Elizabeth has a subtropical climate. Rainfall is in between the seasons of winter and summer, ask any local when rainy season is and you will quickly see there are conflicting tails of either winter or summer.

BEACHES:
Port Elizabeth is home to some of the finest Blue Flag beaches on the South African coast line. Within the suburbs of Humewood & Summerstrand there are 5 Blue Flag Beaches, namely. Kings Beach, Humewood beach, Hobie Beach & Pollock Beach. Further east and forming part of Addo national Park one finds the largest sand bank in the Southern hemisphere. Just minutes west of Port Elizabeth there is Sardinia Bay beach and the famous Maitlands beach. Just 45 min drive is the world famous surfing destination of Jeffery's Bay or J-Bay.
