The Museo Picasso on Carrer Montcada is five-minute away. Plenty of high-quality shops and restaurants are downstairs. Famous tapas are served daily in front of the building. The property is in an iconic “finca regia”, a royal building, residence for prestigious people next to the old Royal Palace and the Kings of Spain, built by Enric Sagnier i Villavecchia, one of the architects who defined Barcelona as it is today, along with other architects of their time, such as Antonio Gaudí. Barcelona was and still is defined as a City of Architects. Enric Sagnier i Villavecchia built and decorated the façade of our building with graffiti in the modernist style and, as private owners, we took care of cleaning and restauring them after a century of dust. We did our best as private owners to give the façade’s graffiti their due value in beauty for the city and for visitors. We hope it will last another century! The City of Barcelona’s Department of Heritage gave their approval and appreciated our efforts an expenses for for the restauration. Separately we also paid for the restauration of the balcony on the principal floor, overlooking Plaça de les Olles. It is part of the beauty of the building, witnessing the time when prestigious families watched from upstairs and saluted people from above.
