The Argüelles neighborhood was born during the Ensanche period and is a magnificent example of bourgeois Madrid. Bounded by the Parque de Debod and Calle Princesa, it extends in a narrow strip from the Plaza de España towards the Parque del Oeste, bordered by the streets of Pintor Rosales, Irún, Paseo Moret, Ferraz, Princesa, Plaza de España, and Cuesta de San Vicente. In its streets, palaces like the Infanta Isabel de Borbón's and old asylums and convents, such as Buen Suceso, are preserved. It is an ideal place to live, given its quite central location, its green surroundings facing the Parque del Oeste and the Parque de la Montaña (where the Egyptian Temple of Debod is located), and the presence of numerous shops, leisure areas, bars, and restaurants with their attractive terraces. Its streets host the largest number of original version cinemas in the city, and it has witnessed several important figures of Spanish cinema on its particular Walk of Fame. One of the most unique areas of the capital due to its variety and excellent infrastructure: six schools, several kindergarten schools, a clinical outpatient center, a specialty center, and a great variety of supermarkets and restaurants. Moreover, the district has excellent connections thanks to its proximity on one side to the M-30, the A-6, the Carretera de Castilla, and the Moncloa Interchange: with direct access to the Sierra de Madrid, and on the other hand access to the city center of the capital.
