Collado Mediano is located within the Sierra de Guadarrama National Park. It is 45 km from the capital and has two access routes to it, via the M-601 which joins up with the Ap-6 and another via the M-607 which connects with the road to Colmenar and takes us to the Plaza de Castilla. Collado Mediano has an extensive bus network that connects it with Madrid, with its suburban train being the most significant of its public transport offer. This station has a free car park where you can leave your private vehicle. It is close to the ski resorts of Puerto de Navacerrada, Cotos and Valdesquí. Surrounded by emblematic natural sites such as the Barranca Valley, Santillana reservoir and Navacerrada, with spectacular places for all kinds of nature activities. Neighbouring towns, such as San Lorenzo del Escorial, Navacerrada, Moralzarzal, Cercedilla, etc... with a wide range of cultural, gastronomic, sporting and other activities. Diversity of public schools, public schools, bilingual schools,... and a wide range of shopping centres in the area. Less than 10 minutes away is the General Hospital of Collado Villalba.
