The Municipality of Acharnes is located on the northwest side of Attica, at a distance of 12 km from the center of Athens, at the foothills of Mount Parnitha. Unique Features: Acharnes (also known as Menidi) makes in its whole an urban landscape of exceptional interest. Acharnes is one of the largest in area municipalities in the prefecture and one of the most important as in the 2004 Olympic Games, the Olympic Village was located there.
