Neos Voutzas is located northeast in the basin of Attica, at the 26th kilometer, and borders north with Nea Makri and south with Rafina. It extends over an area of 2,000 acres, with a part administratively belonging to Nea Makri and the rest to Rafina. It is at an altitude of 119 meters above sea level, which is one of the reasons for the unparalleled view it offers of the Euboean Gulf from almost every point in the area. The settlement was founded by refugees from Voutzas of Smyrna, while the land belonged to the Monastery of Daou Penteli and was purchased in 1952 by the Neos Voutzas building cooperative.
