Location: Santanyí, Balearic Islands
Cala Mondragó is part of the 766-hectare nature park of Mondragó. The two largest bays, ses Fonts de n’Alis and s’Amarador, are connected by a short footpath over a rocky trail and are considered some of the most beautiful and cleanest bays in Mallorca. The next largest town is Santanyi, approximately 56 km from Palma. The village in the southeast, with its nearly 12,000 inhabitants, is one of the most beautiful in Mallorca. The houses are built in the original Mallorcan style with their typical Marés sandstone. In the center, there are many small shops where you can find extraordinary fashion, jewelry, and decorative items. Wednesdays and Saturdays host a market that stretches throughout the entire center. Here you can enjoy the vibrant hustle and bustle of one of the island's most beautiful markets. The Mondrago Nature Park offers two magnificent bays and is in close proximity to Santanyi. The Vall d’Or Golf Course, an attractive course with a fantastic view of the sea, is about a 20-minute drive from Santanyí. Various marinas can be reached in about 15 minutes by car. Among the most beautiful beaches in the vicinity of Santanyi are Cala Lombards, Calo des Moro, and Cala S’Almunia.
