Tell us a little bit about yourself and your professional background.
I was born and raised in Romania and right after my graduation, I moved to New York, USA looking for better job opportunities and career growth. I have acquired a lot of professional and personal skills having worked in a multicultural environment with discipline, communication skills and hard work being the highlight of my experience. I was fortunate to tackle the sales function from multiple aspects and fields such as retail, hospitality and the food industry.


What made you decide on joining the Real Estate industry?
Real Estate kicked in a bit later when I moved to Florida, Sarasota, and decided to buy my 1st Home. It was no brainer that instead of paying $1200 rent a month for a 2 BR Apt, I decided to pay $800/month for a beautiful 3 BR new house, 10 min away from the beach. I sold the house after 1 Year, where I made a $30,000 profit, used the bank money on a 100% loan, stayed free for one year and earned capital gain on my property. This experience was a crucial turning point in my career, and I know what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. I moved to Dubai in 2004, where I started working with Dubai Holding- on JBR and later Lagoons. Shortly after this, I became a licenced broker. I am passionate about Real Estate and love to work with end-users, investors and developers, which has resulted in me gaining trust, loyalty and forging lasting relationships and a robust network within the UAE!

Why Engel & Völkers?

In 2010 I joined an Emaar owned brokerage house called Hamptons International as a broker. Eventually, my performance, experience and long acquired skills were valued and translated into a Sales Manager promotion. I lead the sales and leasing team for over three years, where I excelled in people management, nurturing developer relationships and dealing with high network clientele. So when EV opportunity presented itself with a similar format and structure it was a very straightforward decision for me. With an unrivalled brand consistency and a global network of the finest local real estate experts, I couldn't have asked for a better company!

What is your favourite moment in Engel & Völkers?

My favourite moment at EV has to be the staff awards party! The display of team spirit and camaraderie was great to see. I experienced the culture of togetherness within the company and it was an occasion where we all came together to celebrate the success of E&V.


What is that one piece of advice you would give to your colleagues during the times of this pandemic?
My advice to everyone is to create value and trust and keep constant communication and contact with clients! Stay updated with the market trends and dynamics & provide exceptional customer service to your clients! Be ready to embrace upcoming challenges and transform any negative experience in a positive opportunity!
