The weekly market, which takes place every Saturday from 8.00 a.m. to 2.00 p.m., offers regional produce and handicrafts, and makes culinary dreams come true. In Hinterstadt in Kitzbühel, ‘organic’ produce is more than just a top priority: it is an integral part of local life. Fruit and vegetables, bacon, sausages, cheese, homemade bread, desserts, lamb products, furs and handmade jewellery leave nothing to be desired. And if you start to feel peckish whilst shopping, local restaurateurs will cook for you from 10.00 a.m. onwards. Here, you are served with fresh and regional cuisine. Discover seasonal Tyrolean dishes and enjoy fantastic musical entertainment.

5. Innsbruck · Weekly market on Sparkassenplatz on Fridays

What can be done in the Tyrolean lowlands, is also possible in the provincial capital of Innsbruck. You will be spoilt for choice on Sparkassenplatz, with fresh, regional produce every Friday between 9.00 a.m. and 2.00 p.m. Farmers and the region’s small producers sell their produce on Sparkassenplatz, except on holidays. Discover fresh, seasonal, high-quality farm products from Tyrol. Enjoy the atmosphere and taste the goodies for yourself. You can purchase various types of fresh or smoked trout and char at the farmer’s market. From high-quality honey (wild, blossom, acacia and orange-blossom honey) to propolis cream and many other items, no wishes remain unfulfilled. Apparently, one of the best olive oils can be found on Sparkassenplatz in Innsbruck.

6. Innsbruck · Culinary highlights at the market hall

Innsbruck’s market hall has always been known for fresh, regional products. From Monday to Saturday between 7.00 a.m. and 12.00 p.m., you have the chance to buy regional products and enjoy culinary highlights. At the market hall, local farmers display exquisite products and enable a traditional shopping experience. You get local quality and freshness rather than goods which have travelled thousands of miles. Enjoy a break on your own during a stressful day or show your loved ones that vegetables and fruit do not grow at the supermarket. Tyrolean farmers bring products from the garden and the field straight to the market hall; there are plenty of tales to tell on this topic. It is possible to shop in the market hall the whole week through. Here, you can enjoy shopping for regional produce should you wish to reflect on traditional values and enjoy the highest level of quality.

Engel & Völkers Tyrol & Salzburg Land appreciates and supports regional quality. If you have high expectations when it comes to cuisine and also attach value to expertise in the real estate sector, we are here to support you.
