This summer the Royal Conservatory of Brussels is celebrating a prestigious anniversary: 30 years of the classical music festival Midis-Minimes. Even with the years, the event whose slogan is diversity, discovery and quality remains true to its format: a 35-minute concert, every day of the week at 12.15pm until 31 August. As for the programme, the line-up boasts an array of eclectic acts, including internationally recognised artists and renowned countrymen, experienced musicians and promising young artists, new talent and great classical repertoires.
As is customary, the festival started with a great work, Ravel's Symphonie de Poche, and will close with a set that we no longer present, the Brussels Chamber Orchestra. To guide you through the packed programme, it is useful to know that it is organised around five cycles, corresponding to the days of the working week. Mondays are devoted to traditional music, while the other four days are each dedicated to a period of history in music, from the Middle Ages to the present day. Why not visit us at one of our seven agencies in the capital before or after a concert? Whether you are looking for a spacious loft conversion, a quiet villa or a chic maisonette, your ideal Brussels home can without any doubt be found in the Engel & Völkers catalogue.
