Successful collaboration between master licence and licence partner: how a surprise visit led to a successful sale.

A short phone call, a quick visit to the owner, the valuation the next day, 24 hours later the mandate, and after just 2 months, the property could change owners. This is another way that the Master licence of Engel & Völkers in Switzerland supports its licence partners. 25 May: A call from Thomas Frigo: “Hi Renata, I’m on the way to see you in the office, but there’s been a change of plan. We’re going to acquire a property together now.”

Renata Jereb: “That’s great. How did the customer find you? Do I know him?”

Thomas Frigo: “He contacted us, I spoke to him and now we’re going to do the visit together”.

The two travelled to the visit together. “My heart started beating faster as soon as I saw the house. It was in the best location in popular Hedingen. I could already see 2-3 families from our customer base living in the house. I thought: Now, we just need to convince the owner, that we are the right people to sell their house”, said Renata Jereb.

The visit was very pleasant and uncomplicated for everyone involved. It was especially informative for the owner, as he had never sold a property before. To start with, he was not sure whether he should sell or not, and if so, when would be the right time? This initial uncertainty and doubt was quickly taken away by the professional consultation.

Back in the shop in Affoltern am Albis, the valuation was prepared the same day by Renata Jereb, and the results were presented to the owner the next morning. 24 hours later the signed sales order was produced.

“The sale of the house went exactly as I imagined. In just a short space of time, the house had worked its magic on a family, including the children, who didn’t want to go home again after the viewing,” explained Renata Jereb with a smile.

After just two months, the property had changed owners, the vendor was very happy with the short selling period and the price achieved, and the dream of a new home came true for a family with two children.

Renata Jereb: “Working together with the master licence worked very well. I would be happy to have more of these surprise visits. Thank you, Thomas, I look forward to further such visits with you.”
