Engel & Vӧlkers’ exclusive ethos and dedication to quality makes them the ideal partners for a sport like polo, a collaboration that comes out in full force at the Engel & Vӧlkers Berlin Maifeld Cup, held near the city's Olympic Stadium. Now in its fourth year, more than 20,000 spectators turned out to watch the final match between the E&V team and ELTEC last month.
The event gathers together the very best polo players in the country as part of the ‘High Goal’ Germany Polo Tour, played by the top division teams. Held over the weekend of the 17th and 18th August, the two days saw a series of exhilarating matches played, whittling ten talented teams down to the final two. The forty exceptional players were blessed with great weather for the sport, with the sun beaming down throughout almost the entire weekend.
In addition to E&V’s flagship team, companies including Allianz Kundler, Lanson and Samsung competed for the title. The big names weren’t restricted to brands, either, with both with Mariella Ahrens and Patrick Graf von Faber-Castell taking their places in the stands. For one sporty celebrity, sitting and watching wasn’t enough - award-winning German actor Heino Ferch appeared on the field as part of Team Land Rover.
Making sure the event would be fun for families as well as committed polo fans, Engel & Vӧlkers set up a series of activities for children including pony rides, face painting and a bouncy castle, all of which were received with loud enthusiasm. As an added bonus, the company also extended an invitation for VIP access to 1,000 customers and their families.
The event was jointly sponsored by all twelve residential property shops from Berlin and Potsdam, as well as the Berlin Commercial Office. To mark their continued commitment to and pride in the event, Engel & Vӧlkers’ logo was displayed on side fences, flags and advertisement boards, promoting the company brand and everything it stands for.
