Apartment features in Eixample (Barcelona)

One of the biggest areas of central Barcelona is the busy district of Eixample, which is the most estensive and populated city. 

Its particular layout is designed by the engineer Ildefonso Cerda. During the second half of the nineteenth century, a new layout design said goodbye to an area that was once known for its medieval urbanism and has since become a modern city.

Due to its proximity to the centre, the presence of some of the most representative tourist attractions of the city (Sagrada Familia, Plaza de Toros Monumental, Casa Mila, Barcelona Auditorium ...) and its outstanding architecture, Eixample is a district with an air of exclusivity that has not yet forgotten its character.

Dreta de l'Eixample

Spaciously laid out buildings with a modern architectural style. The proximity of such important points as Plaza Cataluña or Paseo de Gracia raise land prices in this area.

Sagrada Familia

With the impressive work of Gaudí, this area was transformed from a virtually uninhabited area in Barcelona during the second half of the nineteenth century to become one of the landmarks of the city. Street decor has been preserved in many areas with modern aesthetics and new buildings. 

Fort Pienc

Buildings that consist of 4 to 6 floors with small balconies are typical of Barcelona and there is the advantage of being located close to attractions such as Arco del Triunfo and Ciudadela Park, with rental options and purchase prices at more reasonable prices.

Esquerra de l'Eixample

The area consists of two districts, the old and the new, which as its name suggests differ mainly by their age. These two popular areas have the most character in Barcelona. 

Many of the buildings are less than 40 years old and there is also a lot of renovation projects that have recently taken place. The apartments are highly private due to their windows not facing the street. 

Sant Antoni

It is the most traditional neighbourhood out of the six that make up Eixample and probably with the best rental options, especially if you're looking for something affordable. The old apartments are in good condition, with many amenities such as shops, schools, and markets.
