Engel & Völkers' relationship, a leading European-level real estate agency in the luxury sector, with sport is absolutely undeniable. In fact, the company takes every opportunity to sponsor sports. This is why it will be responsible for sponsoring one of the teams that will participate in the 29th edition of the symbolic City of Barcelona polo tournament to be held on 20th, 21st, 22nd, 27th, 28th and 29th of October at the Royal Club Polo in Barcelona. This venue is located between number 19 and 31, Doctor Marañón Avenue.
In particular, there will be six teams taking part in the tournament, a competition in which all the teams will be measured against each other. In addition, any disputed encounters during the game must end in the victory of one of the teams and in the defeat of the other, so there can be no draws. In fact, in case the game finishes with equal scores, the rules of the tournament establish that an additional chukker must be played in the form of a golden goal.
Every win for a team will equal to 2 points in the qualifying table, while the loser will not get any points. On the other hand, in the event that by the end of the competition, there were two teams with equal points, the system to determine which one is above the other will be based on 'who beats who'.
Also, if the tie occurs between three or more teams, there will be a batch of penalties that will be responsible for clarifying the positions. Each member of the team will throw two 60 yards and another two 40 yards. In case there is a discrepancy of any kind, the Organising Committee will be responsible for making decisions.
These are the fundamental rules to know about the City of Barcelona tournament in the Real Club de Polo de Ciudad Condal. It will take place during the last two weekends of October and Engel & Völkers has opted to sponsor one of the six participating teams during this event.
The path that the real estate agency has chosen has worked very well in previous occasions as it has allowed the brand to expand its name within polo and other sports such as badminton. Hopefully this time, the positive results will be repeated once again and Engel & Völkers will have the opportunity to reach out to new public sectors successfully through good results and an excellent publicity campaign.
