The Gothic Quarter is one of the busiest areas of Barcelona purely because of its location. This region is home to some of the most important historical monuments of Barcelona as well as many famous streets and plazas. But aside from its well-known monuments, Gótico Quarter also has numerous nightclubs. If you love going to pubs, discos, or bars, Gótico Quarter is the perfect place to explore at night.
Without favouring any of the establishments that we are about to mention, our tour starts at Bar My Way, which is just across the street from Hiedras. If you visited this city some years ago, you may have been more familiar with Sinatra Bar, with which the owners pay homage to the immortal artist. This bar later changed its name and tends to have a pub-like atmosphere. Its 'vintage' decor and highly comfortable furniture make this bar stand out from the rest. Although it is not exactly cheap, given the quality of cocktails and service, we would have to say that the prices are in fact quite reasonable.
Our next tour will take us to Manchester Gótico Bar in Milans Street. If the previous bar transported us to a time of relative exuberance and elegance, Manchester Bar is just as equally captivating. Thanks to its decadent atmosphere, it has been attracting a huge number of customers since the seventies. The dark atmosphere and recognisable music based on the British rock bands as well as a good dose of indie music create an excellent opportunity to enjoy the evening in a laid-back atmosphere. By the way, the menu prices are very reasonable.
We continue with the famous city theme by arriving at Harlem Jazz Club. The link to the famous New York neighbourhood is not trivial, as the establishment tries to recreate that same air of street slums in Condesa de Sobradie. It should be made clear that the prices are somewhat higher than the two previous bars, however, what you'll get is a sexy offering of the best jazz music. Regardless of whether you love this genre or not, the experience is still worth it.
The fourth and last recommendation gives us a somewhat more lively music scene. Disco Sidecar is well known by those who stroll through Gótico Quarter in search of festive environments. It has remarkably generous opening hours (Monday through Thursday open until 5:00am while Friday and Saturday closes at 6:00am). There are two large disco and bar premises as well as live performances from famous artists. Electronic and alternative rock music fans will love this club for sure.
