Every big city has its own charming attractions for tourists. Whether you want to visit the monuments, take part in popular activities or explore unique sites, you cannot help but feel overwhelmed with the special beauty and remarkable atmosphere of Barcelona. Yet it would be a shame not to spend some time strolling through all the fashion stores of this city. We are of course, talking about the malls, which are abundant in Barcelona.
Judging by the location, size and the number of shops on offer, el Centro Comercial Arenas de Barcelona (the Arenas Shopping Centre in Barcelona) deserves to be our first stop. This gigantic mall stands on the former plaza de toros of the same name, which gives it a truly unique design in both its spectacular facade and interior. Situated in Gran Via de les Corts Catalanes, next to Parque de Joan Miró, the mall goes beyond business functions by offering exceptional views of the city. Museo del Rock also deserves special mention.

Moving a few miles away from this area, we come across the Diagonal Mar Shopping Centre. This mall is situated in the avenue of the same name (Diagonal Avenue). It is a booming shopping mall that has undergone much refurbishment in the last decade. So much so that its modern image has spread through the entire district. This shopping centre in Barcelona has everything you need under one roof, including cinemas, a wide range of restaurants, fashion stores, and all kinds of items for sale.
With a more cultural conception of the shopping experience, Pedralbes Centre is the first urban commercial space that has set the trend for art exhibitions. Its modern but sober appearance holds a rather fine selection of shops, with amazing lighting throughout the building's interior. Also located on Avenida Diagonal (but at the other end), one of its main attractions is its carefully-selected list of restaurants, designed for the most discerning palates.
Not wanting to move away from the futuristic design of shopping centres, the Bulevard Rosa isn't too far behind its rivals. Located in the central district of Eixample, in the busy Paseo de Gracia, the Bulevard Rosa has over a hundred shops with a clear penchant for fashion. In fact, this shopping centre has a greater variety of designer clothes, footwear, and accessories that suit all tastes and budget. You won't find another shopping mall in Barcelona quite as varied as the Bulevard Rosa.
