The Shopping Night in Barcelona

Promoting sales in Passeig de Gràcia in Barcelona is the main objective of the seventh edition of Shopping Night Barcelona. Between restaurants and shops, more than 100 establishments will open their doors on the night of December 1st. In addition, the event will feature ​​'Alice in Wonderland', one of the most famous works of Lewis Carrol, which will be honoured this year.

The 1.4 kilometres of the Passeig de Gràcia will be divided into ten different spaces with names related to 'Alice in Wonderland. There will also be shops that will keep their doors open from 20.00 until well into the night. This will provide the opportunity for consumers to make their purchases at untimely hours.

Ágatha Ruiz de la Prada will be in charge of being the Queen of Hearts and the host of the VIP party that will take place at the Palau Robert. It will be attended by members of the organisation, 'influencers' and representatives of the institutions of Barcelona. For its part, the Garden of the live flowers, just in front of La Pedrera, will have the privilege of hosting the TSBN Espai Outfit, an urban walkway whose purpose is to show the most original creations of the Passeig de Gràcia shops. It also aims to encourage the meeting between fashion students and entrepreneurs.

This event also has live music. Specifically, there will be concerts in Provença Street, in a space enabled under the name 'All in the golden midnight'. Likewise, the Reial Cercle Artístic will host a really interesting art exhibition, while the streets will be filled with food-trucks to allow visitors to regain their strength. We should not forget that on Provença Street the Swiss Cheese Union of will offer cheese tasting.

Most of the luxury stores in Paseo de Gràcia will distribute among their customers the 'Luxury Experience' accreditation, which will give customers the opportunity to enjoy exclusive parties and events during the 'Shopping Night'. It should be noted that the popular model Laura Escanes will be in charge of getting into the role of Alicia.

In short, 'The Shopping Night Barcelona' is an event that perfectly combines commercial, cultural and gastronomic activities within the city, so its success is nothing out of ordinary. In fact, last year the event brought together more than 85,000 people, 20,000 more than in 2014. Most authorities and organisers of the event predict that this figure will be even greater in this edition, although they prefer not to give out the exact information just yet.
