The cultural offer in Barcelona is very wide and varied every month of the year. In fact, it is possible to say that in this city it is impossible to get bored. To see for yourself, this time we are going to propose a series of activities that you can attend in March and, without a doubt, you will have a great time.
Sant Medir 2017
This event is held every March 3rd in the districts of Gràcia and Sarrià-Sant Gervasi and takes place between 9am and 1pm. A spectacular parade is organised in which both children and adults participate and it is accompanied by music, horses, trucks and carriages. In addition, to delight the little ones, sweets are thrown on the steps. Afterwards, all the neighbours gather in the surroundings of the Ermita de Sant Medir up in the mountains in order to continue with the event.
Mineralexpo Barcelona-Sant 2017
On March 5th, a new edition of the fossils fair will be held. The minerals and elements are the most important part Catalonia's nature. These minerals can be observed in all their glory and, in some cases, you can even buy them. In fact, there are many places where you can buy bracelets, necklaces, etc. There are also workshops and conferences that can be attended by all the family members.
International Women's Day 2017 at the MNAC
As you may already know, Wednesday 8th March is the International Women's Day and, for this reason, the MNAC has decided to hold a special event in which there will be an opera performance, a ritual and many other activities carried out by women. This event is not just about entertainment, but it also aims to educate about gender equality.
Magic Line Sant Joan de Déu 2017
March is an excellent time to do sports in Barcelona. In fact, we can not think of any bad season for sporting. In this case, we want to talk about a solidarity trip that runs through some of the most emblematic places in Barcelona with the purpose of raising money for various initiatives at the Sant Joan de Déu Hospital. This activity is done in groups, which must be formed by 5 to 20 people without restrictions of any kind. In addition, you have a choice of whether you want to complete the 10, 15, 20, 30 or 40 km route. Everything will, of course, depend on your physical condition and your companions.
