Engel & Völkers is fully aware of the importance of strengthening ties between its franchisees and brand managers. A lack of relationship between both parties does not match our vision of the real estate business so we organise different events for all those who are part of the Engel & Völkers group. One of the last events was the LIPA (License Partners) Meeting that took place in Barcelona between September 20th and 21st, to celebrate the annual franchisees' meeting. It is an event that is all about interaction and exchange of information among attendees.
The LIPA Meeting was mainly aimed at the franchisees of Engel & Völkers in Spain and Andorra, also having a large representation of the management and other divisions of the brand. Thus, Juan-Galo Macià, CEO of Engel & Völkers in Spain, Portugal and Andorra, and Constanza Maya (Head of Expansion and Support for Spain, Portugal and Andorra), welcomed the guests at the exclusive Sofia Hotel in Barcelona. It was at this venue where the first day of the meeting took place, which began with a wine and cheese tasting session that proved to be very popular among the attendees.
The crucial moment of the first day came with the delivery of LIPA Awards, a series of awards that recognised the achievements (or, rather, the work involved) of the best Engel & Völkers franchises during last year. To recognise the efforts of our franchisees in terms of the characteristics of their businesses, different categories were established with their corresponding prizes. The categories awarded were the following: Franchise Revelation, Franchise with the highest turnover, Franchise with the largest number of operations, Franchise with the most consolidated team and Franchise for the best Marketing. For Engel & Völkers it is very important that those who make the success of the brand in the Iberian Peninsula possible feel fully supported and recognised by the management of the real estate company.
Still charged with the excitement of the previous day, on Friday 21st we proceeded to presenting the results in the facilities of the Alta Diagonal building (where the offices of Engel & Völkers are located in Barcelona). The figures were followed by a detailed explanation of the most important actions undertaken during last year, as well as the presentation of the next initiatives. Clara García, (Web & CRM Specialist for Spain, Andorra and Portugal), Rosanna Uva (Head of Recruitment Expansion & Support Franchises) and Silke Dittrich (International Marketing Director) were all part of the speakers group and explained about the company's vision from different areas of management.
After the presentation of the achievements by our company, it was time for the interesting round tables. The moderation was carried out by Isabel Sala, Marián García, Isabel Hernández and Marta Castro, the Regional Managers who provide our franchisees in Spain and Andorra with full support. Thanks to the extension of the LIPA Meeting duration -from one to two days- the attendees found more facilities to share their experiences and testimonies.
