Decorating children's bedroom with vinyl

Decorating the little ones' room is a difficult task in which we must take care of every detail in order to create a suitable space for children to feel comfortable in and let their imagination fly. This is when vinyl can be very useful. By choosing the right type of vinyl and installing it in the right place, you will create a truly striking, original and innovative environment. Here we are going to give you a series of tips that will be very useful in this regard.

1. Always choose vinyl with children's motifs

There are many types of vinyls but, if you want your children to feel comfortable with them, go for those with children's motifs. This way, you will have a wide variety of options at your disposal. For example, you can choose one with animal patterns that will help them learn about the natural kingdom or one with fantasy drawings of their favourite characters. This will make your children feel more relaxed when they are resting in their room and will encourage them to develop their imagination.

2. Find the right wall and choose the right vinyl

Keep in mind that the characteristics of the wall are very important when choosing vinyl. The first thing that should be taken into account is the size. There must be adequate space on both sides of the wall as well as above and below it. In addition, it is important to give the children a leading role in the decoration task so that they can bring their childish and fun spirit to this project.

3. Always use light colours

If you are thinking of decorating with vinyl, always paint the walls with light colours to enhance the room. In general, dark tones do not provide enough clarity. In addition, as several studies show, children do not usually feel comfortable in rooms that are painted in dark colours.

4. The 'washi tape', a good alternative

The 'washi tape' is an excellent alternative to vinyls. In fact, they are quite similar to one another. The 'washi tape' is a type of Japanese adhesive tape full of drawings and colours that present a great advantage. This is because these paper tapes do not leave any marks or traces on the wall when they are removed, so it is not necessary to repaint the wall afterwards. However, this is not the case with vinyl. What's more, the 'washi tape' can also be personalised so, with a little patience and skill, you can match these tapes to the tastes of your children.

Both vinyls and the 'washi tape' are great options to decorate the little ones' rooms as they offer the possibility of adding a touch of colour in a fun and simple way. If you are looking for additional alternatives to the conventional decoration materials, vinyls and 'washi tape' are the eye-catching options for decorating the children's bedroom.
