Over the past few years, El Monte del Pilar has become one of the most symbolic and exclusive areas of Madrid. Located within Majadahonda, it is a natural enclave that is currently celebrating its twentieth anniversary. This area offers an ideal setting to live in and enjoy nature. Get to know it here by reading our article.
A forest park for the public
Until 1997, when the Special Plan of Monte del Pilar was approved, the 243 hectares that make up the park were privately owned. However, thanks to this project, it is now municipal heritage that is considered a forest park due to its great landscape and environmental value. In fact, it is also home to animal species such as the black kite and the booted eagle. It is even possible to enjoy the flocks of sheep that pass through, which serve the function of preventing fires in the area.
A privileged area for outdoor sports ...
It is obvious that this area is very beautiful in landscape terms. In fact, every weekend, there are plenty of outdoor sports enthusiasts who get in touch with nature. In particular, the place has a wide variety of walking paths that are not too difficult to explore on foot or by bicycle. It is certainly a very healthy way to get to know this forest park.
... and to live in
It is true that in Majadahonda's Montel del Pilar there are not too many housing estates to live in. However, those who already have a place there know how spectacular it is to live in. This is the case of La Albaida, a symbolic building complex that was designed by the prestigious architect, Rafael de la Hoz and who has become, on his own merits, one of the great icons of the region.
Specifically, it is a residential area located just opposite this forest park and has a wide variety of educational and health centres, shopping areas and parks, day care centres and many other amenities. In addition, it offers a high degree of comfort, safety and well-being to those who reside there.
La Albaida has excellent connections with the rest of Madrid and the surrounding provinces. This is because the urbanisation has almost direct access to the M-503 and the A-6. There is a bus station a few metres away as well as suburban trains, which allow you to reach the capital in just over 5 minutes.
This urbanisation also has a private surveillance system through CCTV, two paddle tennis courts that are lit at night, a free outdoor pool and a playground with swings and sandpit. All this, as we have already mentioned, in an extraordinarily beautiful, calm and pleasant environment.
