The island is a natural paradise with virgin beaches and Talaiotic (bronze age megaliths) monuments, it has also been a biosphere reserve since 1993 and since last year a ‘Starlight’ destination. Soon it will be declared a European Gastronomic Region!
Recently it was included in the New York Times list of 52 places to visit in 2020 (52 places to go in 2020)
And for art lovers the famous Swiss gallery Hauser & Wirth will open an art centre on the Isla del Rey, a tiny but very important island close to the historical capital of Mahon.
Due to its physical and environmental characteristics, Menorca is an ideal venue to practice all kinds of outdoor sports, such as hiking, trail running, cycling or horse riding and on the sea; sailing, diving and kayaking, etc.

Sunday 2nd February:
VI Trail dels Fars 2020 Marathon
An adventure at three levels 44, 21 y 11,8 km and the
chance to see world class specialists on the run.
13, 14 and 15 of March:
An epic Trail around Minorca in three stages, covering the ground in three different modes: BTT (Mountain Bike: 197 km), Trail Run (running: 157 km) and Experience (walking or running: 103 km).
22, 23 and 24 of May:
IX Trail Menorca Camí de Cavalls CdC 2020
This Trail Run is amongst the best in the world. It follows the Camí de Cavalls that encircles the island including coast, beach, cliff and other terrains. There are six trails varying from 185, 100, 85, 58, 45 and 27 km.
Sunday 20th of September
In beautiful Fornells the 11th edition of this spectacular 70.3 Triathlon: 1,9 km swimming, 90 km cycling plus a 21 km run. This is a fantastic event with over 700 participants.

Estrella Damm Menorca Open Padel
This will be the 2nd Menorca Open, resulting in Minorca being the epicentre of world Padel for the duration of the competition, with both national and international players competing to win.
