How to choose the best residential area of Valencia?

Valencia offers its residents a beautiful landscape, a large population, rich history and live one of the best cities in Spain. Ciutat Vella

This is the historical heart of Valencia. In this area the most emblematic places of the city such as the Cathedral, are concentrated with their spectacular Micalet, Central market, or the Town Hall. The properties in this area are not very extensive in terms of square metres, but do have the advantage of having all the Leisure and catering services at your fingertips: theatres, restaurants and many other facilities. Another point in favour of Ciutat Vella is that it has numerous subway stations and even more bus stops, so that public transport through this area is a comfortable and simple task. It is certainly less comfortable to drive a car, although most apartments have private parking for those who need to use their cars often.

Pla del Real

This is without a doubt one of the most representative and stately Valencia districts. Among the other symbolic buildings and landmarks, The stadium of Mestalla, the Mall and its garden of the Turia, the University of Valencia and the start of the Avenida de Blasco Ibáñez are where they are located. Like Ciutat Vella, it has numerous Metro stations and bus stops, but it is also another 'friendly' carowners' district. The properties are larger and in many cases, built more recently.

Eixample

This is a district located in the South of Ciutat Vella and is considered one of the most modern areas of downtown Valencia. The Gran Via is its main heart, which serves as hub for the neighbourhood. Its main monument is located at the confluence with Ciutat Vella: the Plaza de Toros. All the best catering services and businesses have taken up residence in this district. Ruzafa is an area within this district which is in the process of refurbishment, with interesting properties that are undergoing renovation, both in the form of penthouses and apartments. This district stands out for its illustrative lifestyle, but there are no Metro stations, which limits its connection with the rest of the city.

City of Arts and Sciences

This area of Quatre Carreres district is a good example of how much Valencia has undergone changes in recent years. Around the cultural and leisure complexes, designed by Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela, is an emerging range of first class, modern and spacious properties that meet the needs of the most demanding in terms of space and comfort. Although not as many business and catering services as other areas of Valencia are available here, it may be an interesting choice for those looking for a quieter residential neighbourhood, without being too far from the centre of the city.

Valencia Beach

Although this is not a district as such, under this cateogry, we list properties for sale and for rent around the coastline of Valencia. Despite the fact that it is an area of contrasts, Valencia Beach looks to the future with optimism and is already home to many houses, flats and truely luxurious apartments, especially those located right on the beach. La Malvarrosa is one of those urban beaches of the country that's nice and comfortable, and the spectacular renovation of its harbour, especially the Marina Marina Real Juan Carlos I, is the main focal point of the city.

Other residential areas of Valencia

Apart from these areas, in all the districts of the city and its surroundings, many interesting properties of high standing can be found. Rascanya, which is located near the City Stadium in Valencia, boasts many modern housing estates with communal swimming pool and tennis courts. Manises, a border population of the city, offers many options for those who need to travel regularly, as it is the municipal district of the city airport. For its part, Patraix is a small neighbourhood close to the Centre and, above all, very close to the AVE station Joaquín Sorolla, the main gateway for those who come from Madrid. Marchalenes, Extramurs, Jesus or Benimaclet are other areas in which the Engel & Völkers Valencia realtor offers proposals to rent and buy.
