The best restaurants to enjoy this summer

As a great Mediterranean city, Valencia shines especially during the summer. Pleasant temperatures and sunny days are the predominant tonic during these months. With such a combination of pleasant weather, it is not surprising that summer is the perfect time to enjoy some of the best gastronomic options in the capital of Turia. Even at the risk of leaving aside equally interesting offers, we will show you the benefits of the following four restaurants in order to get the most out of any summer visit to Valencia.

If Valencia is not comprehensible without the sea, the El Saler Beach is probably the most iconic in the city despite not being within its municipal term, strictly speaking. El Saler is a hamlet in the Valencian capital, although its proximity makes many visitors consider it to be one of Valencia's most delicious corners. It is here where Arrocería Duna in the Natural Park of La Albufera opens its doors to customers. Possessing a simply exceptional terrace, this restaurant is a must for lovers of seafood rice, whether it be with dry or honey-sweet ingredients.

Returning to the city but without leaving the seaside, Casa Carmela is located at number 155 Isabel de Villena Street, just opposite La Malvarrosa Beach. Open every day except Mondays, the restaurant does not hide its traditional vocation at all. This is a visible aspect both in the decoration and in the configuration of the menu. Paellas are the star dish of the establishment, which also leaves space in the kitchen for other rice and native products such as steamed clotxins. It has been serving these dishes since 1922.

The next stop is one of the most surprising of this selection but it serves to remind us that Valencia offers much more than rice and seafood. The sushi restaurant, Nozomi, is located in the district of Ensanche, right in the centre of the city (at number 11 Pedro III el Grande Street). With silver service presentation, the gastronomic experience at Nozomi goes beyond the dishes that are served. The service and the atmosphere are well worth a visit.

Finally, we keep our attention in oriental cuisine but we extend our view to the best of Mediterranean foods. Unique combination of ingredients is the hallmark of Komori, a Japanese restaurant located in General Gil Dolz Street, within Westin Valencia Hotel. The elements of haute cuisine and innovation are very present in every detail of the dishes, duly accompanied by a large cellar (with sake and Valencian wine, of course).
