December is fast approaching and with it comes the longest day of the year. The 6th, Day of the Spanish Constitution, and the 8th, the Immaculate Conception Day, fall on Wednesday and Friday, respectively, and many people also take a break on Thursday. Things to do with your children during December holidays
1. Skating on the ice rinks in Plaza del Ayuntamiento in Valencia
Just like every year in Plaza del Ayuntamiento and for the purpose of celebrating Christmas, the Association of Merchants of the Historic Centre of Valencia (Asociación de Comerciantes del Centro Histórico) sets up two spectacular ice rinks, a small one for children and a large one for Adults. The ice rinks will be open from Friday, December 2nd until Monday, January 8th. Prices will be 8 euros for adults and 5 euros for children.
2. Pay a visit to Bioparc
The December national holiday is also a wonderful opportunity to visit the Bioparc, the most important zoo in Valencia and one of the most prestigious in Spain. Specialised in the typical African savannah animals, during these holidays the little ones will have the possibility of accessing the site at lower prices and, in addition, there will be specific events and shows will be prepared for them.
3. Stop by the Oceanogràfic
Just like the Bioparc, Valencia's Oceanogràfic, which is located in the City of Arts and Sciences, will prepare to face the December national holiday by focusing its offer on children. In fact, it will strengthen those topics that attract the little ones, such as the sharks. Therefore, it will be possible to access the site for less money and their opening hours will be extended to respond to the high influx of visitors.
4. The Valencia Christmas Fair
The Christmas Attractions Fair of Valencia is already a classic in the city's leisure offer for the December national holiday and beyond. Specifically, it will remain open between November 25th and January 22nd and will be located in the Avenida de l'Enginyer Manuel Soto. Visitors will be able to enjoy the lights, music, cotton candy as well as many other fun and exciting attractions. The fair will open its doors between December 6th and 10th, from morning until 1.30 in the afternoon.
