What to do in Valencia during the month of June

The month of June is shortly arriving and, with it, there will be the heatwave and a wide variety of events at your disposal in the city of Valencia. When the temperatures go up, the city starts to ostensibly extend its cultural and leisure offer in all directions. This is why we will explain in detail the most interesting and fun activities you can take part in during those 30 days.

1. Festival de les Arts

This event will take place on June 10th and 11th at the City of Arts and Sciences in Valencia. In particular, this edition will focus on music, fashion, graphic design, illustration and cuisine. In fact, up to 16 'foodtrucks' will huddle in the complex to offer exquisite and authentic dishes from countless countries around the world. Without a doubt, an unbeatable opportunity to get culturally enriched and at the same time, enjoy the best food.

2. Her Majesty The Queen Trophy

This is a sailing competition that will start on June 29th and end on July 2nd. In particular, this race is of great relevance at national and international level. It belongs to the Cruising Class and has been held since 1988. For its part, it is held in conjunction with Copa del Rey Mapfre and, in addition to the race, it is possible to get to know firsthand the boats that will be participating as they will be moored at the Real Club Nautico de Valencia.

3. Mar i Jazz Festival

Between the 16th and 18th of June the second edition of the Festival Mar i Jazz of Valencia is celebrated. As its name indicates, the concepts of jazz and sea are merged together. In fact, it is celebrated simultaneously in two venues that are located in Cabanyal. In total, the participation of more than 30 different bands and a total of 100 artists is confirmed. In case that wasn't enough, entry is free!

4. San Juan Night

There is no doubt that the night of 23rd to 24th of June is the most special of all in Valencia. As it is the shortest night of the year, the celebrations of San Juan are held and, according to tradition, children and adults must go to the beach and light a small fire to jump on and ward off evil spirits. In addition, the city council will be organising a number of cultural activities and concerts to make the event even brighter. Without a doubt, guaranteed fun until the sun rises.
