On Friday the 9th and Saturday the 10th of June, Margara Golf Club promoted the first edition of "The Walking Cup between Margara and Valais".
A two-day competition with the following formula: the first day 4 balls best ball and the second day individual.
Two teams have been challenged: one represented by twelve Italian members of Margara and the other by a group of twelve Swiss golfers coming from the canton of Valais.
The tricolour team was victorious in this first edition.
This event has been a pleasant occasion as a sport meeting, where the participants coming from Valais have experienced themselves in one of the most prestigious golf course in Piedmont; but the real victory has actually been the chance to show our Monferrato; the charm of its landscapes and its renowned food and wine tradition.
The twelve Swiss golfers, who fell inlove with our territory, now go back home with Margara and the Monferrato in their heart.
