The spring lights up
Monferrato, the mythical land of
Unesco Piedmont, suspended between the wine-growing hills and the Po plain, where the month of May will see the return of the great kermesse entitled "
Riso & Rose in Monferrato".
Not a simple event or a specific place: the event will return to its seventeenth edition in its consolidated widespread and itinerant formula in time and space. For the whole month of May and in particular its four weekends that will see the countries lurking up initiatives of tourist interest (growing attendance from abroad).
Even this year, the space of events is
Monferrato's entire territory with events in its capital, the historic town of
Casale Monferrato, and in about thirty common towns, between the provinces of Alessandria,
Asti and Vercelli.
The event will include events of food and wine, flowers, hobbies, music, but also occasions to discover the heritage of history, art, culture and landscape of
Monferrato with thematic events on a territory rich in villages of landscaping and artistic interest and dotted with companies that hand over the artisan tradition of the territory.
The offer of initiatives is very rich: from
castles,
manor houses, historic sites and companies to the divine tastings, typical gourmet and distilled crafts, the thematic markets of hobbies, outdoor life and flowers to musical and sporting events.
Numerous en plein air activities such as walking and bicycling, from the plain to the hill, will allow visitors to experience moments in nature or discover chapters of productive history of these lands.
Among the curious events of various kinds are the "Embroidery of Wines & Stone from Cantons" in Rosignano Monferrato, the rediscovery of an ancient water mill at Fontanetto Po, bicycles in the Lomellina countries, The "Palio dell'Oca Bianca" in Quargnento, the trip on the river Po on board the boats at Camino, the appointment for the Vivaldian Week in Occimiano, the charms of the
Castles of Gabiano and Giarole, the fairs dedicated to the asparagus at Valmacca and Fubine Monferrato and still visits to the suggestive underground cavities (the so-called " Infernot ") and the oenological appointments of Open Wines and Grignolino in Grignolino.
