1. Torre Mozza

Torre Mozza is just 3 km far from Follonica. Surrounded by the Mediterranean scrub, between reeds and dunes, Torre Mozza is a "wild" beach dominated by a sixteenth-century fort. This is surely one of the most beautiful beaches of Tuscan Maremma. Snorkelling and diving enthusiasts appreciate, in particular, the variety of fish that inhabit its clear seabed. Furthermore, it is said that under the water there is a cliff that might be a stretch of the ancient Aurelia road.


2. Cala Violina - Scarlino

Cala Violina is certainly one of the most famous Maremma beaches in Italy. It is 10 km away from both Follonica and Punta Ala, inside “Bandite di Scarlino” nature reserve. Spending a day in Cala Violina will leave a wonderful memory of your holiday in Maremma! After parking your car, you will walk in the cool pine forest so to reach the Caribbean sea. A breathtaking scenery will catch your eyes: dream beach and sand made of tiny quartz grains. Indeed, the bay takes its name from the melodious sound generated by the steps on the sand: like the sweet notes of a violin.


3. Cala Civette - Scarlino

Between Punta Ala and Follonica, there is a bay with an emerald sea and white sand: Cala Civette. A lush Mediterranean scrub and a 16th century tower protect this unspoiled beach. Its fishy seabed attracts snorkelers and divers. It is impossible to resist the enchanting colors of this location!

4. Rocchette - Castiglione della Pescaia

Transparent water, long golden sand beach, rich seabed make Rocchette one of the most famous beaches of Tuscany Maremma. It is easy to reach - just 7 km from Castiglione della Pescaia. Also, it is comfortable for families, thanks to the many beach clubs that alternate with the free beach. Dominated by the fort of the Rocchette, on the right end there are some rocks from which you can dive. Perfect for surfing as well.


5. Castiglione della Pescaia

Castiglione della Pescaia is a well-known Italian seaside village. The charming medieval streets, the majestic castle, as well as the pine forests and the long sandy beach characterize this location. Beach clubs, restaurants and night clubs, as well as shops and boutiques, will make your holiday in Maremma comfortable and unique.

8. Feniglia e Giannella - Orbetello

The Feniglia and Giannella beaches are the two long strips of sand and clear water that connect the Argentario with the mainland. The first is surrounded by the Duna Feniglia Nature Reserve. While walking in this pinewood, you may also meet a fallow deer. Instead, the Giannella is a good place for sailing sports.

9. Ansedonia and Capalbio

Capalbio beach is 12 km long and reaches the border with Lazio region. Playa la Torba - near Ansedonia promontory - is famous for its special dark sand, while Chiarone has white sand and a sea that looks like a mirror. Here, there is the famous beach club "Ultima Spiaggia", frequented by celebrities looking for privacy. The area is also ideal for lovers of sailing sports.

 

10. Cala del Gesso - Monte Argentario

Silver Coast is famous worldwide for its many stunning bays, the emerald sea, as well as for being one of VIP’s favorite destinations. Among others, Cala Gesso is the most beautiful beach of Silver Coast. This slice of heaven is characterized by smooth rocks and pebbles, a seabed rich of fishes and a beautiful sea.
