I come back with pleasure to talk about my wonderful Recanati, City of "The Infinite", which is not only famous for being the town of the poet Giacomo Leopardi , but here in 1890 the opera singer Beniamino Gigli was born, known all over the world during the XX century.
The history of this town, which rises in the hills of the center of Italy, dates back to the Middle Ages and the remains of the past are still visible along the streets, in museums, churches and libraries.
Near San Flaviano we find the Episcopal Palace where there's the Diocesan Museum, but the most interesting thing about the Church is that in the underground there is buried Pope Gregorio XII, the last Pope who wasn't buried in Rome.
The Cathedral of San Flaviano is in the center of the town, in via Falleroni, a street full of historical Palaces where the real estate agency Engel & Voelkers of Civitanova Marche offers for sale apartaments and penthouses with breathtaking views.
