Monte Isola, the highest island of European lakes, is a green mountain in the middle of Lake Iseo, which dominates making it even more precious.
The villages of the island are 11, some in close relationship with the lake, points of connection with the "mainland" as: Peschiera, Sensole, Port of Siviano and Carzano. Others are located along the flat hill of mid-hill: Siviano and Menzino; some towards the top of the mountain: Olzano, Masse, Cure and Senzano. The municipality of Monte Isola also includes the two islets of San Paolo and Loreto.
The inhabitants of this oasis are about 1800 and these solve their problems of internal displacement with motorcycles and a 30-seat bus that carries out the transport service and connection between the villages of the island. The connections with the "mainland" take place on a boat, which connects Monte Isola to the magnificent villages of Sulzano, Sale Marasino, Iseo, Lovere and Sarnico.
