Lake Maggiore obtains its 3 EU blue flags again

The areas affected by this important prize are the senior Cannero e Cannobio (this is their 14th flag in the field of clean water) and the new entry Arona, with its beach “Le Rocchette – Lido Nautica”, that obtained its first Blue Flag last year. That’s truly a source of pride for the inhabitants of the Lake. The prize, given by the Foundation for Environmental Education, an institution approved by Unesco, is not only based on the quality of the water, but it also takes into account a set of factors, which contribute to the bauty of the shores.
