Discovering Monferrato with E&V Milano

Monferrato: a fascinating landscape, not surprisingly an UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is characterised by its gently hills’ undulating profiles, reach of boundless vineyards, woods and wineries. In this area arise also some of the most beautiful Italian castles, many of which have been reconverted into charming residences where you can stay. Here below we present you some of them selected by us, that will amaze you with the armony of the surrounding landscapes.

STONE CHARMING FARMHOUSE

Near from the center of Rosignano Monferrato, there is this splendid and typical stone farmhouse. Renovate maintaining, where it was possible, those that were the original features, today this residence is refined and functional. The choice of materials and of the three main colors, which we find throughout the house, namely the red of the brick, the ivory of the cantoni stone and the sage green of all the fixtures, make the house homogeneous, but above all they highlight the attention and love for this property. Located in one of the highest points in the country, this residence, despite being close to other houses, offers an atmosphere of peace and tranquility. Everything has been taken care of in the smallest details already from the garden, characterized by the porch with the barbecue area and the pergola covered with wisteria, jasmine and roses, ideal for outdoor lunches and dinners. From the portico you can access the characteristic “Infernot”dug into the tuff and the cellar, which has now become a tavern with a fully equipped kitchen.

The house is divided into three distinct areas: on the ground floor, in addition to the entrance room, there is a living room / study, the laundry room, and an independent suite with living room, bedroom and bathroom; on the first floor of strong impact is the beautiful living area from which, thanks to the large windows, it is possible to admire an enchanting view of the hills. This splendid farmhouse, in a panoramic position on the hills of Vignale Monferrato, has been finely restored by the owners, creating in addition to the main house large reception areas, a splendid swimming pool with garden, ornamental plants and a large porch. The property is surrounded by about 6 hectares of cultivated land, 2 of which are vineyards, with its own label, and approx. 1.5 hectares destined to truffle. The property still has large spaces to be restored and to be used as an accommodation business. The principal area consists of a large living area with a kitchen and fireplace. The ground floor is completed by a living room and a bedroom overlooking the olive trees of the garden inside the courtyard. On the first floor there are two bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms.
