Amazing opportunity to enjoy Padua during a warm summer night
Friday, 12th of July: tonight the city of Padua will be illuminated in bright colours, called in Italian „La notte dei colori“. This event already takes place for the 6th time in a row.
It will be an evening of pure joy and amusement and one of the biggest parties in the historic center of the beautiful city.
Padua will offer a great number of activities: are you ready for a colourful night in the city center?
Light shows and colourful projections
From 9pm until midnight the historical buildings will look even more breathtaking when they are illuminated in colours. Palazzo della Ragione, Torre degli Anziani, the tunnel of „Sotto il Salone“, Palazzo Moroni, the famous Caffè Pedrocchi and other impressive landmarks of Padua can be admired in a different light.
Food and Wine tastings „Sotto il Salone“
What to do if you feel appetite for some delicious Italian food? Don't worry: the market hall „Sotto il Salone“, which is the oldest one in whole Europe, will remain open until midnight to serve tasty dishes and amazing wines. In addition, other 50 bars and restaurants will offer tastings of their typical food and wine specialities.
Djs and dance parties on the Piazza
The „Notte dei colori“ offers amazing opportunities also to those who love music and dancing. In the 3 main squares of the historic center (Piazza delle Erbe, Piazza della Frutta and Piazza dei Signori) you can find live DJ setups and dancers.
Further SALES in shops that shouldn't be missed
Next to the activities offered by the city also 300 shops will participate in bringing happiness for the visitors of the „Notte dei colori“ by giving further discounts on articles that are already on sale. The children will also enjoy this night: they can find a number of traditional wooden toys in front of Palazzo Moroni and can get colourful painting on their faces, following the motto of the night.

As the city expects a great number of visitors for the „Notte dei colori“ the number of public transport will be increased. In order to get there without any stress, it is recommended to arrive in advance.
