This beautiful property is located in the evocative setting of Piscità, the most exclusive area of Stromboli, in the first row on the sea and with direct access to the beautiful Bay of Castriota - one of the island's coves of fine black sand.
The highlight of this charming residence is certainly its location.Set on a rocky ridge that slopes gently down to the beach, the villa enjoys a breathtaking view of Strombolicchio, and is framed by the lush green vegetation of the place, in contrast to the crystal blue of the sea and the black of the surrounding volcanic landscape. In addition, a stone staircase belonging exclusively to the house, connects the terrace to the beach, giving the owners access to a true corner of paradise. On the mountain side, behind the house, appears 'Iddu', the Stromboli, whose magnificence can be admired from the terrace in peace.
It is possible to reach 'Casa Ruth' through Via Domenico Cincotta: a small lane branches off from the main road to the property's garden, ensuring the villa's privacy and absolute proximity to the sea. The house is on one level and the entrance leads to the open-plan living area, which is connected to the kitchen. Both rooms overlook the main terrace, offering an enchanting sea view from every corner and flooding the rooms with light. The living area leads to the two interconnected bedrooms, both of them overlooking the property's second panoramic terrace. A spacious bathroom with shower serves all the rooms. In addition, next to the villa there is a rustico belonging to the house that needs to be renovated, with an attached bathroom and panoramic terrace, which can be used as an annexe. The villa is in excellent condition and is ready to be lived in.
“Casa Ruth' is located in the area of Piscità, in the northern part of the island of Stromboli, which is characterised by innumerable impressive volcanic black sand coves on the Bay of Castriota. Stromboli is the most northerly of the Aeolian Islands, close to the Sicilian Tyrrhenian coast. It is just over an hour's boat ride from Milazzo, two hours from Messina, the provincial capital, and is also well connected to the ports of Naples, Tropea, Reggio Calabria, Palermo and Capo d'Orlando, from which ferries and hydrofoils depart throughout the year. A further possibility of access to the island is offered by the landing strip for helicopters, which is located at Ficogrande, on the seafront. The island covers little more than 12 square kilometers and is home to the only European volcano in permanent eruptive activity, Stromboli, also known as "Iddu", which for its incredible and suggestive paroxysms along the so-called Sciara del Fuoco, earned the island the nickname of "Lighthouse of the Tyrrhenian Sea". Stromboli has a population of little more than 400 inhabitants, the main inhabited villages are San Vincenzo with the landing place of Scari, and the areas of Piscità and Ficogrande and, to the south-west, reachable only by sea, Ginostra, populated by about 30-40 inhabitants, where people still move by mules along small roads and stairways that go up the cliff. Just 1.5 kilometres from Stromboli is the Scoglio dello Strombolicchio, Stromboli's oldest volcanic cone, now exhausted, which is only a few hundred metres from the mainland and is home to a solar-powered lighthouse, behind which the sun rises every morning. The area in which 'Casa Claudia' is located is Piscità, in the northern part of the island, characterised by numerous suggestive coves of black volcanic sand. Piscità is undoubtedly the most exclusive and renowned area of Stromboli, and has always been a summer destination for well-known personalities of the international jet set, actors, politicians and representatives of the major high-fashion houses. In particular, the Castriota Beach is a small beach of fine black sand, isolated but easily reached by a fifteen-minute walk from the hydrofoil pier.
