On May 23,the Engel & Völkers shop in Siena organized, in collaboration with our colleagues from the Engel & Völkers office in New York City, an event to introduce our most exclusive properties.
The event, which was held at Park Avenue offices, was very well received and was attended by more than 40 potential customers and buyers.
Everyone has shown particular interest in Italy and Tuscany in particular, so that in the two days following the event, there have been many one-to-one meetings with potential investors who have proved to be very sensitive to the possibility to buy a farmhouse, a cottage, an apartment in the countryside or in one of the beautiful villages of our province, but also to rent an exclusive villa with pool for their summer vacation.
Also remarkable was the interest for farmhouses to be restored.
The New York real estate market is booming and prices are rising steadily; the euro /dollar exchange ratio is also particularly favourable to the dollar at this time.
It is therefore really advantageous for the US citizens to invest in Italy.
During the days of our presence in New York, Barack and Michelle Obama happened to be inSiena and this helped to increase the resonance of the event.
Thursday, May 25th, was the National Wine Day in the United States and this gave us the opportunity to promote further the wineries, the farms with vineyards and olive groves, the beautiful Chianti mills and the exclusive villas overlooking the hills around Siena.
The territory of the province of Siena is rich in history, art and culture. Buying an estate in Chianti, a prestigious apartment in the historic centre of Siena, a farmhouse in Valdorcia or an apartment in Montalcino, Pienza or San Gimignano is, for so many New Yorkers, a real life project.
The sinuousness of the green hills of Siena, the events that enhance the territory, the slow pace of time and the serenity of everyday life are the dream of many Americans. The dream that Engel & Völkers Siena hopes to turn into reality soon!
