Finally, it's not so bad to move...

Our real estate agent Françoise Lelièvre was able to find the perfect house for a British family who wanted to settle in Luxembourg. Every move brings its own challenges, but thanks to Françoise's commitment, nothing stands in the way of a new start in the Grand Duchy.

"The two children were not thrilled," Françoise recalls. "They had to leave their family, their home, their school, and above all their friends." The little boy likes to play football and the little girl has many talents. The parents send a request to Engel & Völkers Luxembourg: A house please, not too far from our workplace in Kirchberg and close to a good school and places of activity for the kids.

Meanwhile, in Luxembourg, a couple of grandparents want to leave their villa which has become too big for them. "The neighbourhood is ideal," says Françoise. "It has a school, a stadium and football club, a public swimming pool, a cycle track, a walking area in the forest and all this close to the Kirchberg". The match is obvious: This is the house for them...

In one click the presentation is sent and the phone rings: "We would like to visit this property but due to Corona we can't go to Luxembourg, could you arrange a visit by WhatsApp...?" The next day, Françoise organizes a visit via WhatsApp and shows a video of the football stadium nearby. On Saturday evening, she leads a second virtual visit in the presence of friends of the couple who live in Luxembourg. The phone rings: "This is our house! Thank you very much!"

Two weeks later, the family can finally travel to Luxembourg to discover their new home and their new surroundings. The children enter the house, they like it, and they are already allocating the rooms. Later, they will visit the neighbourhood, the new school, the swimming pool and take a walk in the park. Already they have met new friends! Finally, it's not so bad to move...
