Any time is a great time to visit Mauritius but let us give you the lowdown if you are planning a trip to the island in the next few months!
February, March & April can be ideal weather-wise if you are a sun seeker looking to enjoy the balmy temperatures and warm waters with little chance of rain. February can still bring a small threat of cyclones however. So grab your beach bag and head down to the sea but make sure you have lots of sunblock and water!
This time of year, there is a lot to celebrate on the Island! From Chinese New Year in February to Maha Shivratri in March and Eid in April. These joyous occasions are a great opportunity to get stuck in with other cultures and fully immerse yourself in the melting pot that is Mauritius!
Now is the best time to get out there and experience some of the best things the island has to offer while the weather is great and the season is low… Clear and warm water lends itself perfectly to snorkelling on Trou Aux Biches Beach. Hiking in Black River Gorges is a great way to get your steps in and explore the nature of the island; bring your mosquito spray with you though! If you are feeling adventurous, a catamaran trip to Gabriel Island is the perfect way to pass the day.
