Algarve Wines: exceptional quality!

Region of wine-growing traditions, the Algarve benefits from very particular climatic conditions that result in high quality wines. The replanting of grapes and the modernization of the cellars has enhanced the sublimity of the full-bodied and velvety red wines, the delicate and smooth white wines and light and the fruity rosé wines. 

The quality of the wines in the region was once again recognized in the last edition of the World Competition in Brussels, where 9 Algarve wines were awarded with 4 gold medals and 5 silver medals. Between November 26th and 29th Lagoa will receive the first Wine Cities Competition - Portugal Wine City Challenge, integrated in the European Competition Città del Vino, which aims the joint promotion of territories and their wines.

The offer of excellence combined with the tourism sector has stimulated the wine tourism, offering the possibility to those who visit us to enjoy the our wines while discovering Algarve’s history and culture, with several itineraries that showcase several properties and wineries such as Adega do Cantor, of Sir Cliff Richards, near Albufeira, where we can enjoy unique experiences that may include a tour and tasting.
