On December 14th, it was revealed the selection for the year 2021 of the Guide Michelin Spain & Portugal, which confirmed 6 restaurants in the Algarve region, out of a total of 28 Portuguese restaurants.
Highlight for the exceptional kitchens of the restaurants Vila Joya, in Albufeira, and Ocean, in Lagoa, awarded with two stars and Bon Bon, in Carvoeiro, distinguished with a Michelin star for its high-level cuisine. Also noteworthy is the Check-in restaurant in Faro, in the new category “Bib Gourmand”, which rewards establishments with excellent value for money and Al Quimia in Albufeira, distinguished with “El plato Michelin”.
This is another proof that the Algarve is synonymous of excellent gastronomy, favoring typical and high-quality regional products.
