The Barber of Seville

Opera is an artistic genre that combines music and theater.

The famous Rossini's Opera Play "The Barber of Seville" was staged on November 2 at the Teatro das Figuras in Faro.

The play tells the story of old Doctor Bartolo and his intention to marry his pupil Rosina who is in love with Count Almaviva. The young Count appears several times in the house of Bartolo, in Seville, disguised by the barber Figaro.

The orchestra was conducted by Martin Mázik and Constantin Rouits, staging by Roberta Mattelli and Matteo Peirone, Art Direction by Luis Miguel Lainz and Scenography by Alfredo Troisi.
