Algar Seco is a natural wonder created by erosion, located in the Algarve, Carvoeiro, consisting of a series of fauna and flora, rocks, rough caves, natural pools and the magical Atlantic Ocean.
You can reach Algar Seco on foot on the 570 metre boardwalk of “Forte de Nossa Senhora da Encarnação”, on the “Praia do Carvoeiro”, which connects the fort to the area of Algar Seco. This Carvoeiro walkway, built on the cliffs, offers a magical view over the magnificent blue Altantic Ocean.
The most visible coastal ecosystem is the marine avian fauna, this area is the favourite for many birds, despite the extreme environment of the cliffs, as the rocky slopes are difficult to reach by land predators, making it the perfect place to breed and nest.
