On the next Saturday the 22nd September join this cause for the protection of the Oceans and Nature. The cerymony will take place in Sagres at Praia da Mareta at 11:30am.
The "Paddle Out" ceremonial is a old ritual, originating in Polynesia and Hawaii, practiced by surfers from all over the world to honor friends of the missing waves or to engage and raise awareness of the communities for social and environmental issues.
It is a celebration of life during which the participants paddle with their surfboard and form a circle of union, reflection and tribute.

During 2 days the space of the emblematic coastal monument "Forte do Beliche" will receive a cultural festival and will be open with a market, projection of environmental awareness films, round tables and live music.
Entry is free and participants are offered the opportunity to find out more about the problems related with the ocean and coastal pollution.
