Born in a dream, the idea needed a home that could host the stories, tastes, aromas, textures and the experiences of a simply unique Portugal. And so “Mar d’Estórias”has come to life in Lagos’ Old Town Centre, amidst other places ofgreat touristic and cultural interest.
Mar d’Estórias is a labyrinthine space consisting ofshop, café/bistro, art gallery and sea view terrace bar that invitesyou to delve into this “Sea” of memories and experiences thatcharacterise the best of Portugal.
Mission
Mar d’Estórias intends to be an innovative place that values everything Portuguese with special emphasis on the Algarve. It was planned to provide a balanced passage between the different areas ofthe shop, the cafe/bistro, the art gallery and crowned by the rooftop terrace bar with a sea view. The experience will be toabsorb culture and traditions, where the taste of the gastronomy,the inspiration from the events, the excellence of the genuine Portuguese products and the identity of the Lusitanian people areall in one building. Customs, traditions and actions dictate the identity of a people. Mar d’Estórias tells the stories of these people, close to the sea, in a building that is an infallibletestament to time. The idea is that you enjoy this story and becomea part of it.
