In this article we want to introduce you to the Marketing and Team Assistant celina Oliveira and his career.
How did your journey at Engel & Völkers begin?
I started my career in 2015 with the opening of the Comporta shop as a team assistant and continued until 2017, when I left for a new professional challenge that was more in line with my area of education. In 2021, I was invited to join the team as a Marketing & Team Assistant at the Carvalhal shop, with a more challenging and interesting project that caught my attention, as this area has always captivated me and attracted my interest, being a more creative area and also one of interaction with the public.
What motivated you to look for a change?
The possibility of professional growth and realisation that the company offers us, which is rare to find in the area due to the shortage of work. In addition to the position of Team Assistant, I also had the opportunity to work in the Marketing department, which made me even more enthusiastic.
What do you value most about collaborating with Engel & Völkers?
The structural organisation of the company where everyone's roles are well defined and organised, when we work in such an environment the work becomes much more exciting and fluid. The team spirit and mutual support that exists between everyone creates a relaxed and good-natured atmosphere, making it easier to do your job.
What is your analysis of the sales market in the area you will be working?
The market is increasingly growing, which gives us a greater challenge in meeting customer expectations. With significant growth in the area has also come more competition, which motivates our team to create new strategies and innovate our work process, allowing us to take a different approach to the customer and provide them with a unique experience.
What advice would you give to people who are looking for a professional change but are afraid?
That you should always take risks, no matter what fears you may have or how little you know about the viability of the project in question. Sometimes change makes us indecisive and we worry about whether we should stay in the same place or really take a chance on a professional change. In my opinion, we should explore our various professional facets and discover the ones we are most passionate about, always maintaining resilience in the face of challenges.
What aspect of your profession captivates you the most?
Marketing is what I'm most passionate about, being a design graduate, anything to do with creating content for social networks, flyers, adverts, newsletters, planning brochures and everything else that goes with this graphic side. I really enjoy the planning and event organization part, the stress and pressure to have everything ready by the deadline causes that adrenaline rush, but I feel completely fulfilled when everything goes well. Supporting the team as a Team Assistant is also something that gives me a lot of pleasure, from helping to overcome obstacles, working as a team, making suggestions for improvements and changes to the property's promotion. Every day is different, there are different challenges and the motivation to explore this area grows every day. I can say that I love what I do.
