The Senhor da Pedra Chapel was built in 1686, on a rock by the sea, and is located on Miramar beach. In the rocks that support the building, myths appear, which one is about D. Sebastião, when in one eternal morning of fog, he had stuck his horse's legs in one of those rocks, thus justifying the two rounded marks that are there.

With an extension of about 20 hectares, the Douro Estuary Local Nature Reserve begins on the south bank of the Douro River, in Afurada, and it ends in the sandy area of Cabedelo, where the largest number of birds is concentrated.
Located in an agroforestry area of Vila Nova de Gaia municipality, this is the home of hundreds of species. With 35 hectares, this park has a recovery centre for wild animals, found injured or held in captivity, and a nursery that produces thousands of plants of over 300 species every year. The park also has a restaurant/bar, so you can enjoy a complete experience without having to leave the place for lunch.
